Man in his Pyjamas A collection of comedy writing, poetry and Asperger Syndrome.

The fool in the pool

Sitting on the balcony in the god-damn pouring rain

Lamenting ever coming

Vowing ne’r to return again

The word on the street is gloomy

And the skies are predictably so

Is the Sun going to make a guest appearance or shall we just pack up and go?

I’m taking it very personally, all this god-damn pouring rain

I’d anticipated brighter days

I anticipated it would seem in vain

If only I’d packed a jumper

Or swapped my sun hat for a cagoule

Is the sun going to make a guest appearance for the optimistic fool in the pool?
